Weekdays on Pause

This wasn’t a planned break. It just happened. One day my weekdays were full of routines, schedules, and reasons to wake up early. The next, I had time. Too much of it, maybe? No alarms, no meetings, no stressful messages I couldn’t handle.

So I document it. These first weekdays that turns into my no-working days. Not because I was sick, not because I asked for leave.

Day 1: woke up super late, my friend Firdha picked me up and we had lunch together.

Day 2: guess this is a farewell meeting? I met my friends, also my ex bosses, Sandra and Ricky. Had Point Coffee afterward, still my favorite.

Day 3: another goodbye meeting. This time with Syifa, Tessa, and Firdha (again). Some of my favorite people from back when I was still part of the company.

Day 4: packed my stuff, had my last meal in Bogor, and left. Never wanna go back.

Day 5: touched down in my hometown. Got this KitKat from my sister-in-law. But since it’s actually my nephew’s, so let’s call it a welcome-back gift from him?

That’s it.

This post wasn’t made to romanticize my free time, just to remember how these days actually felt. The slow mornings, the random plans, the quiet thoughts in between, and unexpected moments. Oh wait, maybe I do romanticize it… a little?

For now, being jobless wasn’t as scary as I thought, it feels strangely calming. I learned that sometimes life needs a little pause so I can breathe, think, and find joy in tiny things. Where to next? I have a few plans and I’m ready to take the next step.

See you soon, with a new chapter.
